How Recycled by Kobie was created!

Ever since I was young I’ve loved to create and build. As I grew older my skills and knowledge expanded. When I was 15 I learned to weld and just wanted to practice my skills to get some better marks. My grandad had a bunch of left over horse shoes sitting around. It was free metal that I could use to practice and mess up with. After a quick search I found people have made plenty of designs and cool stuff out of these shoes.

After a couple months of stuffing around and gaining the basics of welding I began to realise I could sell theses for a bit of extra cash. So I found a small bench and got a little arc welder and Recycled by Kobie was born. As the years went on I would try and create anything and everything I could out of recycled materials. From flowers, pumpkins, hat racks, fire pits and even a 7ft sculpture of the Eiffel tower.

One day sitting in the shed thinking about knew ideas, I had an old spoon sitting on the bench and it looked really cool so I started looking on google for ideas and a ring popped up. I straight away went down to the local op shop and bought some and gave it a go. I genuinely went through 10-15 test rings that were terrible. Finally made 4 that were wearable and wore them to the pub that Saturday night and from then people really liked them. So the lightbulb went off again and thought I would give it a crack and try and sell them.

7 months of planning later I am ready to drop my first collection and I couldn't be more excited for what is to come in the future. Ready to create and produce quality handmade rings.
